Dabu-Dabu was thrilled to cater a special event at the Doris Duke Shangri-la property as part of the International Film Festival in Hawaii. The night was in honor of Independent film maker Garin Nugroho one of the premier Film Directors from Indonesia.
The 90 people attending were a diverse group including Indonesians, Hawaiians and people from mainland USA.
We served Indonesian signature dishes including Manadonese food.
We are so grateful for all the positive feedback we received. Especially from people who tasted Manado-style Indonesian food for the first time!
After the success of our first Shangri-La event in march we were invited back to cater a lunch for Shangri-La straff training!
The weather was stunning - again - and the outside event was a lot of fun. I am so happy they loved our signature dish "ikan woku".
We had a wonderful luncheon for Ph.D. Dissertation Workshop at the Doris Duke Shangri La center. It is a stunning location and the staff there is amazing - so professional, and warm! I am looking forward to doing another event there soon. The students were pleasantly surprised to have something different - like Indonesian food. Most of them had not tried it before - but were happy after they did!
